The only 24 hour Rally in Ontario!!!
 This year in a new location, with some new country to ride!!
The date for the Rally will remain as tradition, and will be the weekend after the long weekend in August, which this year will make it August 6, 7, and 8th.
The Northern Exposure Rally is going to be based out of Blind River, Ontario for 2010. This will give an opportunity to see the country in Northern Ontario from a different angle, and make life for the Rally Master so much easier. Blind River is a beautiful little town located on Hwy #17, mid way between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie, on the North Shore of Lake Huron.
 Tech inspection will be Friday, August 6th, starting at 10 a.m. and closing at 5 p.m. The only downfall of basing the rally out of Blind River is that there is no motorcycle dealer here. The closest dealers are in Espanola, 1 hour east and Sault Ste. Marie, 1.5 hours west. Therefore make sure your bike is in rally ready condition!! If your bike doesn’t pass tech inspection, you will not be able to run! There is a NAPA store, and Yamaha marine dealer in town which will help with the generic stuff, but there is no place for tires, chains etc. There will be a BBQ at the rally masters house following tech inspection on Friday.
The Rally will be of both a 12 and 24 hour format again this year. Start will be Saturday morning, with the 12 hour ride finishing that evening, and the 24 hour ride ending Sunday morning. Prizes will be awarded Sunday afternoon at a banquet in town with lots great food and lots of stories to be told!
Registration is open now, and we will accept credit cards (Visa/MasterCard) for payment to make your life easier. The veterans will be reserved a spot until April 30th, then it will be a first come first served after that. Registration will close June 30th. We are accepting a maximum of 70 riders. Again this year, a CMA membership will be included with the registration fee. Registration for 2010 will be $150.00 per rider for both the 12 and 24 hour rally’s. Extra banquet tickets will be $25.00.
I’m planning a couple of extra twists in the rally this year, so plan on seeing lots of rocks, and water and islands. We’re looking forward to seeing you in Blind River this August!!
